Spray Applied Thermal / Acoustic insulations, by far offer the best value for money, on applications greater than 500m2, due to ultra rapid installation time and an extremely efficient, joint free thermal barrier. In addition, spray on insulations may be applied after all hanger rods & services have been installed making for an extra neat visual finish.
This is in stark contrast to pin up type, rigid & flexible insulations that must be installed on to a clear slab only, forcing all following trades to cut/drill their way through to fix their services, resulting in unsightly patch up’s, opening and joints.
Thermacoustic TC-417 is a general purpose two component spray on insulation, formulated from biosoluble glasswool, and is available in a stunning “Vivid White”.
Its unique formulation allows it to be applied upto 150 mm (R4.5) thick in one single application making it a hot favourite for satisfying BCA/Section J thermal requirements to Car Park Slabs and Roof Soffits.
TC-417 has a popcorn textured appearance off-the-gun, and may be flattened by tamping to provide a more level look.
This is best used in areas where a Section J thermal rating is required and where no ceiling is being installed – such as a Car Park soffit.
Thermacoustic AF-90 is the upmarket cousin of TC-417 that has an extra fine level visual finish in “Vivid White” combined with outstanding acoustic properties – making it a huge hit with restaurants, boardrooms, hotel lobbies, call centres, libraries and art theatres.
Manufactured in USA by the world largest building materials conglomerate, and fully tested to Australian Standards, TC-417 & AF-90 boast a minimum 35% recycled content, thus contributing valuable NABERS / Greenstar / LEEDS points to any project.
